This convent was founded by the Kanjirappally province of FCC and was brought under Mananthavady as per the decision of the General Chapter, single province under one Diocese is preferred, the  convent at Sagar founded by Kanjirapally Province of FCC was brought under Mananthavady. The sisters are involved in the parish works, Dispensary and   the Old age home run by MCBS fathers. When the Mananthavady Diocese was branched as Bhadravathi, the Convent belongs to this diocese. Besides the usual services, the MCBS fathers run an Old age home and take care of the inmates. At present the convent is under Bhadravathi Diocese.
