Here there was a leprosy home run by the CMI fathers and they wanted the Clarists to assist them in their work. Since this work was very dear to St. Francis, the sisters took up the responsibility. But the Fathers abandoned this work and turned to the treatment of snake-bitten cases. Hence, the sisters helped them. They could save the lives of many hard working villagers.  Besides, they also took up other responsibilities such as dispensary and village works.
