The old age home in Kallody had  many limitations. There was no hospital nearby. In Kalpetta there is a good hospital close by. Hence, the old building where the nursing sisters resided was pulled down and a good building was put up. This is the old age home for people of all beliefs. As a complementary to this, a counselling center was also opened and it is functioning well.
