The presence of Franciscan Clarist Sisters in Wayanad began in June 1957, responding to the spiritual and social needs of migrant families who shaped the hills of Malabar into vibrant Christian communities.
Inspired by the Franciscan spirit of simplicity, humility, and prayer, St. Mary’s Province continues its mission through faith formation, healing ministry, social outreach, education, and pastoral care across India and abroad.
